Well Rounded Design Skills

I work in all aspects of the design process, from Discovery to Delivery. My strengths in strategy include aligning business and user needs. I have experience leading and collaborating for accessible interaction design and attractive visual design in web and mobile interfaces. I practice regular refinement of designs to ensure a best-in-class experience for each customer.

Mobile & Web Experience

I used heuristics and competitive research to improve the RealSure lead generation flow. Working with known constraints, I created an easier, user-friendly experience for this mobile-first responsive design.

Qualitative Research

I planned and facilitated UX Research with current users of Good Eggs. I then collaborated to synthesize results in contribution to a more robust persona for cross-functional teams. This way, we were able to keep the people using the product at the center of our work.

Full Stack Design

In designing a new product on a new platform with new branding for a new user, this RealSure project covered all the bases. I collaborated to ensure MVP content was visually appealing with intuitive interactions, all under a rigid timeline.

Systems Thinking

Whether starting a project or jumping into one that exists already, I make sure to understand the big picture while I jump into the project scope. I design with industry standards in accessibility as well as appropriate artifacts to understand and best solve problems efficiently with excellent finished deliverables that align with business goals and the overall experience.

Example of Design System Components

Design Systems

I design by industry standards of Human Interface Guidelines. I spend time creating, documenting and reviewing Figma components throughout project scopes, which sets up future success to move rapidly in an agile environment. I’ve also created Design Systems based on Bootstrap and Material Design.

Heuristics & WCAG

As a full stack designer with bp, I created new online experiences to replace those on paper and spreadsheets. I documented how to apply best practices and educated stakeholders in learnability and accessibility in consistent designs using brand colors. By designing with accessibility in mind from the start, I am able to keep projects moving quickly without hangups at final steps.

Understanding the Journey

By creating and aligning stakeholders early on with UX artifacts, I am able to lead efficient and streamlined work when it comes to managing content and the visual design of the user interface.

Communication

I effectively create delightful designs by treating each individual as a partner in the work we create. From step one of the process, I ask questions, and can explain why we landed on certain design decisions. I make sure to leave room for feedback and clarifications, which has built trust and relationships amongst team and clients.

Annotated Slide Decks

After I harvest priorities from often ambiguous starting points, I keep those priorities upfront during the project. I use visual tools to share details with teams like product, operations, and marketing. Working remotely and in differing time zones, I promote asynchronous collaboration and communication.

Prototype for Measured Consulting prototype

Figma Prototypes

At Measured, I conceptualized a new flow with the Product Manager and confirmed the vision with a high fidelity prototype. We then tested the prototype so that customers and other teams could see the vision and give their feedback in moderated sessions.

Comps for Engineers

I am sure to be in early communication with developers and engineers. This way, I can adapt and change as I learn. Knowing constraints, I am also able to add low lift quick wins for high reward improvements. I make sure to document interactions and visual specs in final comps. I also check back in after the deliverables for questions and to share kudos!

Soft Skills

I honed my ability to work well with others while being efficient with attention to detail while in hospitality. I’m also organized and I thrive when working laterally in simultaneous projects.

But enough of me talking about me, let’s see what other people are saying about me:

Do Good

Whether it be with colleagues, clients, or consumers, I am a human centered designer (and person).

I’ve worked to modernize services for those in need of products in the private and non for profit sectors. I ask questions, brainstorm new ideas, and get excited for the benefit of collaboration.

I am excited to make an equitable impact on those who need it most. Let’s do the most good that we can, together.

I return my shopping cart to the queue. Isn’t this the smallest, easiest and yet delightful act to center others?
